🎉 30 years of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA): From individual mobility to shaping the European Research Area 🎉
Since 1996, MSCA has grown from a fellowship programme into one of the most important European instruments for developing research talent, fostering international collaboration and strengthening scientific excellence. 🌍🔬
📊 Key achievements of the programme:
🔹 More than 150,000 researchers have received support through the MSCA
🔹 23 Nobel Prize laureates have benefited from MSCA support during their careers
🔹 Around 8,000 researchers participate in MSCA-funded programmes each year
🔹 Nearly 50% of participating organizations come from the business sector
🔹 Around 40% of researchers come from outside the EU.
Croatia has also recorded steady growth in participation:
✅ 86 projects funded through Horizon Europe
✅ More than €10.4 million in EU funding secured
✅ 116 Croatian institutions involved in projects
✅ A success rate of 17.6%, above the programme average.
For three decades, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions have demonstrated how international collaboration, knowledge exchange and researcher mobility create the foundations for scientific breakthroughs and a more competitive Europe. ✨
