From Real Estate To Capsule Bed

Founded in early 2010s, GalaxyStarsHK’s is a space-themed capsule bed manufacturer, supplier and retailer based in Hong Kong. CEO Eric Wong was in real estate field before switching to this unique industry. This idea was introduced to him when he visited capsule hotels in Japan. “I dreamt of exploring space since a little kid. Producing space capsule beds have somehow fulfilled my childhood dream. It keeps our imagination alive.”

Eric only wanted to distribute capsule beds in the beginning, but all the available products back then were very poor in quality, so he decided to buy a factory to produce good quality capsule beds under the name Galaxy Stars.

“There were only 1-2 factories in China producing capsule beds back then. We sent samples of their capsule beds for tests only to find out they were using very poor quality and highly inflammable materials. This prompted me to design our own space capsule beds and produce on our own. We started everything from zero. Instead of being a distributor, we are now managing the whole production and supply chain. More challenges are there to be handled this way but it’s worthwhile. ”

After a few years of effort and focus, there are more and more buyers ordering capsule beds for hotels, homes or even co-working spaces around the world. Tailor-made designs are possible.
