Explore Simon Chan’s delightful ceramic creations at our new space in Sheung Wan.

Chan is a talented young ceramicist infusing fresh energy into the art world. A graduate of Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) College, he honed his skills under the guidance of esteemed artists Ching Kam Shing, Mak Yee Man, and Esther Mar. His captivating work, showcased at I-kiln Studio, features bold colours and a distinctive style.

In Damon’s works, he freezes pieces of impressive memory along time to recreate a new perception. He captures colour sensation and shapes in his works so as to explore their relationships with objects, attempting to shorten his distance from arts.

Born in Hong Kong in 1979, Damon Tong received his Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (co-presented with the Hong Kong Art School) in 2008 and his Master of Visual Arts from the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2013. He is also a member of Rental United, an artist trio established in 2009, known for its participatory practices.
