Σήμερα γιορτάζει η Παναγία μας και ευχόμαστε υγεία και αγάπη σε όλους!!

Το 15 Αύγουστο γιορτάζουμε και τα "Παργινά" ή Κανάρια",που έχουν διπλό χαρακτήρα θρησκευτικό και ιστορικό.
Τη βραδιά της 14ης Αυγούστου ο κοσμος επισκεπτεται με βαρκες -καίκια το εκκλησάκι της Παναγίας που βρίσκεται μπροστά στο λιμάνι της Πάργας.

Σήμερα πλήθος κόσμου συγκεντρώνεται στον χώρο του λιμανιού για να παρακολουθήσει τη "βαρκαρόλα". Η "βαρκαρόλα" αναπαριστά την επιστροφή των Παργινών και των Ιερών Κειμηλίων τους στην Πατρίδα, έπειτα από ένα σχεδόν αιώνα ξενιτιάς. Αμέσως μετά η γιορτή κλείνει με πυροτεχνήματα και παραδοσιακούς χορούς.

Today we celebrate the Virgin Mary (Panagia) and we wishing you health and love ❤️.

Every year, on August 15th, Parga celebrates with a big festival in honor of the Holy Virgin in Panagia island.

The Kanaria Festival is the highlight of the cultural events organized in Parga and collectively called Pargina. It takes place every year in Parga on the eve of the 15th of August and its theme is religious and historical.

Today at night, many people gather at the harbour to attend the Varkarolla event, a re-enactment of the return of the Pargians.Almost one century later, the Pargians returned to their homeland which had been liberated from the Ottomans and this occurrence is re-enacted at the Varkarolla event.
Two series of boats start from the castle and the big rocks and head to the harbour where they are greeted with a beautiful firework display.

Fireworks light up the sky and traditional music and lots of dancing complete the evening.
