Thank you all for your support this year , it has been especially busy my teaching of upholstery lessons has grown considerably and I have been asked to continue next year.

Good morning everyone,
Thank you so much for your feed back on my new venture for renting craft space at my studio in Drayton.
After many chats I have been asked though request
to include gentlemen crafters and small craft groups , this will still mean that if a woman’s workshop is prefers as was the original plan I can still do this .
So I am renaming. Now

Hello fellow woman makers,
If you are in need extra creative workspace , in the company of a small group of ladies, on an hourly rental ,
with complimentary tea coffee ( biscuits)
I would love to hear from you.
I am inviting

Up cyclists
All welcome
I will be available to assist if needed, although I expect you will be experts in your crafts.
I will try to cater for your personal working space as much as possible, but suggest you bring tools and sewing machines.
I am so looking forward to this new venture at the Flax Studio Drayton TA135LR
This is a lovely light , spacious upstairs room, begging to be shared .

Hi everyone, from tomorrow 1st August from 10:30-12:30 and 2-4 Monday, Wednesday and Friday I will be starting upholstery lessons at the emporium Yeovil on princes street. I have 30+ years experience, I’m trained in traditional and modern upholstery, soft furnishings, curtain making and dress making. Hi every one
It’s been a different kind of couple of weeks at the upholstery studio
Prom season
And I was privileged to be able to do the dress alterations on my granddaughter Taila and her friend Hayley’s dresses
They both looked stunning in them
This gave me back some wonderful memories of being a dressmaker and have decided with the upholstery getting so heavy for me that I am going to pursue it more
So if anyone needs any alterations done please contact me

Good evening every one
I haven’t posted in a while
The upholstery studio has just celebrated its forth year at Flaxdrayton Farm
Thank you for your support as always.
I just wanted to say that I am unfortunately having to give up working on large sofas and large head boards they are just becoming to heavy for me to handle,
All other upholstery,
Curtain alterations
Dress making alterations welcome.
Over the coming months I am hoping to offer sewing classes ,beginners very welcome please let me know if anyone would be interested in these .

I also wanted to put feelers out if any of you would like to take part in a sewing group I was going to call it
(Sewing in company)
I would be on hand to offer any welcomed advice and provide refreshments
( what are your thoughts)

Hi Every one
Well it’s just over two weeks ago I gave up my shop in illminster and moved back to my workshop in Drayton Southpetherton
It’s been a bit of an adjustment having to re- jig
things to be able to work (golly I’ve got some stuff)
I felt I was missing people last week so on Saturday I did a craft market in Donyatt I really enjoyed it and got to see some of my old customers there I think
this will be my new outlet for the moment until after Christmas when I will be ready to offer more work wise

Hi every one
Well after removing all my stock , painting , cleaning and spending hours removing the dreaded double sided tape from the flooring ( room settings with carpet tiles seemed such a good idea ) I think I’m just about done
I hand back the keys tomorrow on my lovely shop .
The first next step is to resort my studio / workshop in Drayton as the old saying goes you can’t swing a cat now I’m back under one roof

My little granddaughter was taken poorly and had to take her and her mummy into hospital

Hi every one
Well sadly this is my last week of trading at my Illminster shop
I am reducing as much stock as I can to ease the move so if anyone is passing pop in there maybe a bargain to be had
I open 11/30 Tuesday and close end of day Saturday 11th September
This will then give me a couple of weeks to move
back to my studio / workshop at Drayton Southpetherton

In Silver street Illminster
Is closeing the end of September.
I am gutted and have loved every Minute and have no regrets at trying this adventure,
Thank you all for the wonderful support you have given me .
Now onto the next chapter
I will continue to offer all as before
