Booth seating takes a beating. Years of use showed, and it was time. All new seats fitted, comfortable again, presentable again, and built to take whatever the next few years throw at them.

We’ve been holding this in…

Meet Loose Interiors, our new video podcast where interiors meet honesty, humour, and the beautifully messy side of real homes.

And today — for the very first time — we’re revealing our cover art.

This project means everything to us. It’s bold, it’s real, and it’s the start of a journey we can’t wait to share with you.

Episode 1 drops 18th June. Just a little longer… and then we’re off.

There is something about a farmhouse window seat that should feel lived-in and solid, not fussy. New seats properly fitted, the kind you can curl up on with a book and not think twice about.

A new fabric can completely change the character of a room. These two armchairs and their footstool got a cover that ties the whole space together. The bones were always good they just needed a fresh direction.

Ercol frames were made to last. The original webbing and cushions? Not quite as resilient. Fresh webbing, new cushions, and this one is ready for another few decades of daily use.

Rush seating is one of the oldest craft techniques going, and it still holds up beautifully, in every sense. This little chair came in looking tired and left with a brand new woven rush seat.

An Ode to My Regulator
Oh, regulator, my faithful friend,
On you my sanity doth depend.
You sit in my hand like a wand of gold,
The most important tool in my fold.
Without you, fabric would go astray,
Puckered and wonky throughout the day.
You tuck and you guide, you coax and you tease,
You make even the trickiest corners a breeze.
Some folks have scalpels, some wield a sword,
But you, my sharp stick, are my ultimate lord.
A glorified skewer? Perhaps, some would say —
But those people clearly have never done upholstery a day.
I’ve lost you in cushions, I’ve dropped you in foam,
I’ve panicked and sworn ‘til I found you at home.
You’ve been mistaken for a knitting needle or pin,
By customers watching and trying to fit in.
So here’s to you, regulator, unsung and divine,
You keep my pleats perfect, my piping in line.
No stitch would be straight, no fabric lie flat,
Without you — and honestly, I’m okay admitting that.
