Louise Hyams Soft Furnishings Bespoke, hand made curtains, blinds, window dressings and soft furnishings. I have an Art & Design Degree from London College of Fashion (1977 - 1980).

I did a 2 year City & Guilds Curtain Making course at Richmond College (1998 – 2000). I have been making curtains, blinds & soft furnishings since then. My customers have mostly been in the SW London area & more recently NW London area & has pretty much been on a word of mouth basis. I moved to Worthing 4 years ago & would like to get a small customer base closer to home. My work is hand made to t

he highest standards, I work alone & offer a personalised service. I make: Interlined/lined curtains, Roman Blinds, Cushions, Cushion covers, bed throws & Day Bed covers. I supply: Fabrics, poles, tracks, all types of Blinds, eg: Rollers, Double Rollers, Wooden Venetians, Tassel, Vertical etc.

The bedroom blind is interlined and the ensuite one is lined only.

I've been set quite a challenge to make 8 box cushions in this Faux Leather for a pub in Kent.
I've never worked with leather before and it has been a puzzle as I'm not an upholster and usually work in normal fabrics such as linens etc. I've had to work out the best foot and needles for my machine and work with heavier zips than I'm used to.
It's all good fun!
The fabric is from Warwick Fabrics and is called Chesterfield Conker.
