A huge ‘Thank You’ to everyone who have stayed at our lovely cottage over the past 12 months or so.

We know from all your 5 star reviews and comments that you’ve loved her as such as we do.

We’re snatching a quick stay between guests.

Our happy place….🥰 full of light, views and flowers….

If all goes to plan and you’re thinking about staying here, there’s only a few dates left before July this year when our cottage closes her chapter on little getaways forever in Ironbridge, Shropshire.

Well here she is…. The old girl has been listed and we have viewings lined up for Saturday already.

I have promised her that I’m only going to leave her to safe hands.

I love her too much to sit and listen to someone talk of changing her beautiful windows, or that the original fireplaces aren’t ‘their’ thing.

So it’ll take as long as it takes. I’m in no rush to sell her and I shall enjoy and appreciate her for as long as I can.

Spring really is here!! And with it, lots of bookings at our lovely cottage 🥰

I’m drawing up plans for our private (for the time being) garden. I can’t tell you how excited I am but more about that when things get under way.

How wonderful to feel the sunshine. I’m sure I see a slight smile on Mr Hare’s face….

The spring bulbs are preparing to burst open in all their glory and the cottage garden is starting to wake.

Our guests arrived on Friday and sent us a lovely text on arrival which warms our heart.

Had a lovely weekend at the cottage this week. Gardening in the sunshine doing a bit of tidying and knowing my place as chief screw handler….a job I was more than happy to assist with oh….and paint colours. Yep that thankfully was on me!

Mike tackled the space in the hallway. New seating made, just waiting on a delivery of the baskets in the cubby areas for shoes and slippers along with hanging hooks, new lighting and even more space for storage on the top shelf.

It’s really has brought the whole area together giving the entrance hall and new utility a great flow and making the space feel so much larger.

So pleased!

We have been so busy this past week but we definitely have a plan coming together 🤔

I’ve made curtains and finished the footstool which makes the lounge even more comfy and Mr James made great progress with inner hall.

The plan was to go all the way through to the front door to really bring the areas together but we discovered 1980’s red floor tiles underneath the wooden section of the floor. These have been laid on a thick base of concrete so we’ve had to put that area on hold for now because we’ve got 4 back to back bookings to concentrate on.

I can’t wait to get it finished so that the entrance/cloakroom cubby can be started on too. In my mind, it will work so well.
