Well, I suppose all we can say is ‘it’s a wrap!’
On Friday we said goodbye to our last ever guests at Beau View Cottage. We never intended to become ‘Holiday Cottage owners’ but sometimes life throws something exciting your way and you just have to run with it or you know…like really know, that you’ll look back and kick yourself if you don’t just take a leap of faith.
It’s been crazy busy, exciting, worrying but ultimately so rewarding. I’ve loved picking flowers from the garden to showpiece their wonderful colour and scent and that’s definitely something I’ll always do thanks to her previous owners love of gardening. Over 60 reviews in total and every one of them 5 star across the board. We are very proud….
It’s been fabulous.
But now, she’s all ours. Like really. No more having to clear away our possessions or be mindful of putting something out that may get accidentally broken. Panic about starting a job and something cropping up out of our control and the fear of not being able to finish it before the next guest arrives….
We can start allllll of the jobs that’s we’ve talked endlessly about these past 18 months in the private garden and we have so many exciting plans to really enjoy our next home. The walks, relaxed atmosphere and everything that Ironbridge has to offer.
We feel very lucky….. But I’m also heartbroken. I still don’t know how I’m going to leave my beautiful old girl of 22 years that I feel so privileged to have been custodian of. No length of time could ever be enough
So for now, I’m trying to concentrate on the packing and not the final goodbye which is just around the corner.
More about that another time…..🥹
