Not every job is a quick service call.

Today was fighting seized countersunk bolts, corrosion, heavy components, rain and strong winds on a large industrial shear assembly.

A lot of heat, grinding, cutting and patience involved to strip everything down correctly and avoid damaging expensive components.

These are the jobs that test experience and problem solving properly.
Machine engineering is not always clean work — but the goal is always the same: get the machine repaired properly and back working.

🔧 Hydraulic Hose Repair – Big Leak Sorted On Site 🔧

Another call-out where a small issue turned into a major problem.

🚨 Problem:
Hydraulic hose with a small hole — but under pressure it was causing a serious leak and oil loss.

✔ Work carried out:

Identified damaged hose

Removed faulty section

Replaced / repaired hydraulic hose

Checked system pressure

Tested for leaks

👉 Result:
Machine back up and running with no leaks, safe and ready for work

🔧 CAT 255 – Hatz Engine | Rubber Mount Replacement 🔧

Another job completed on site – engine vibration issue sorted properly.

📍 Machine: CAT 255
⚙ Engine: Hatz two cylinder

🚨 Problem: Excessive vibration through the machine – worn engine rubber mounts.

✔ Work carried out:

Removed worn mounts

Installed new rubber engine mounts

Checked alignment and seating

Tested for vibration and stability

👉 Result: smoother running, less stress on components, longer machine life

🔧 JCB 8085 ECO – Full Service + Inspection 🔧
Another machine gone through a full service and detailed check on site — and this is exactly why inspections matter.
📍 Work carried out: ✔ Full service
✔ Full inspection of key systems
⚠ Findings:
Hydraulic oil leak – hose on main valve block leaking
Cooling system running on water only (no coolant protection)
Missing filter from JCB service kit
Drive planetary running on ATF (wrong oil)
👉 All issues caught before they turned into serious failures / expensive downtime
📅 Customer has already booked us back next week to: ✔ Repair hydraulic leak
✔ Flush & refill correct coolant
✔ Install missing service parts
✔ Replace correct oil in final drives
