This beauty needed only to be recovered as has been traditionally reupholstered 30 years ago and as we all know Traditional upholstery when done correctly can retain its shape, comfort and true for decades !
Of course , I always add new extra soft wool padding before I apply new fabric . Show wood got a bit of TLC as well …. Might as well as we want it to stay in this condition for another 30yrs or more !

Nothing like a bit of TLC to the old and worn out leather …. Bit of repair, conditioning and splash of new colour … lo...

When customer asking me to make a loose cover my first question always is “why would they want a loose cover over upholstered chair “ the answer always is … it always had this cover and it’s so old and stretched …… “ well this classic armchair had loose covers from manufacturer… , now client has a beautifully upholstered chair with durable fabric that won’t stretch , move around and is cleanable even with bleach ! Happy customer even happier me ! #
