Thank you for expressing interest at standing at The Modern North to be held in the iconic Palace of Arts within exhibition Park which now houses Wylam brewery, central Newcastle. The event will be held on Sunday 3rd of November 10-4.

We also offer a serves to view pieces in your home if you are local as it’s not always easy to envisage how they will actually look in your home so if your in the edge and not sure take advantage of this service. Don’t you all love a sexy chair .. one that not only looks cool but is so very comfy to sit in… and this little beauty reclines too so 2 reasons to snap this beauty up.

I love a good reading chair & can just see this gorgeous piece in the corner of a room next to a big window with views as far as the eye can see, book in hand and when I feel sleepy i can just recline and catch some zzzz’s… dreamy

Upholstered in design guild cotton velvet the chair has had a full refurb with new foam and that chrome frame has been polished within an inch of its life .. been transformed from a very sad looking chair, one of those chairs that some would have thought why have you bought that but Mickey could envision it’s future and bought it bang up to date ready for your home but has also taken it right back to its origin with its sleek 1930’s streamline look with the colour fitting the era perfectly.

10 years apart…. We just love being on park view and have seen massive changes with businesses coming and going.. but we just haven’t wanted to leave so we have changed our businesses with the times, flipped our skills and reinvented the property 3 times now….

Doors are back open on Thursday so that Mickey can hunt down some more classic designs for your homes and get busy in his workshop upholstering some more beauties ..

Don’t forget that if there is something you have seen and would like to view by appointment drop us a line as we are more than happy to oblige and we only live upstairs do so problem at all for us at all.

Morning.. just want to say a massive thank you for your support for the last two days. It’s good to be back in the street and to know that you guys are loving what we do. After opening our first mid century shop here 10 years ago mods & rockers we can safely say that the bay is ready for us now.. what a difference 10 years has made, how our coastal town has transformed us amazing…
