The kitchen is never just the kitchen.

It is where someone asks how your week is going. It is where you find out about a useful event, a new project, a local recommendation, or a brilliant person you should speak to. It is where the five-minute coffee break quietly becomes the most useful conversation of the day.

We love those small, ordinary moments because they are what make a coworking space feel human. You can come here to work, of course. But you might also leave with a contact, an idea, a bit of encouragement, or just the nice feeling of having had a proper chat.

If your current workday is missing those little conversations, come and try ours.

Coworking is not all chat and cake. Some days, the best thing about being here is that you simply get the work done.

There is something powerful about arriving with a plan, sitting down among other people doing the same, and letting the room carry you into focus. No laundry in the corner. No delivery at the door. No sudden urge to reorganise the spice cupboard instead of doing the important thing.

Just a proper place to work.

If you need a day where you can concentrate, reset, and leave feeling like you have actually moved things forward, this might be exactly what you need.

Book a desk for the day and give yourself a proper working environment.

A special mention for the food from Babka Sandwich Shop, the cafe on the corner, because it absolutely deserves one.

Good food has a way of changing the mood of a workday. It gets people away from their screens, brings everyone into the same conversation, and makes a normal Monday feel a bit more like an occasion.

European Coworking Day gave us a perfect excuse to gather, eat, chat, and enjoy one of the best things about being part of a local neighbourhood: brilliant independent businesses just around the corner.

Thank you Babka Sandwich Shop for keeping us very happily fed.

If you are visiting us, make sure you leave room for a Babka stop too.

We’re open for High Peak Open Arts this weekend, and Venue 3 is looking wonderfully creative.

Pop into the coworking space on Old Road to see work by Valerie Vernon, a printmaker whose colourful, layered pieces are full of texture, pattern and character. Val is mainly known for her printmaking, but you’ll also spot a few lovely pieces where she plays with other techniques too, including embroidery.

Follow the red balloons, look out for the Venue 3 signs, and come and say hello.

There are workdays that need a spreadsheet, a strategy, a deadline, and a really good cup of coffee.

We cannot promise to do your emails for you, but we can offer a place where the coffee is close by, the Wi-Fi behaves, and the energy in the room makes it just that bit easier to get started.

It is funny how much the small rituals matter. Arriving somewhere that feels ready for work. Making a coffee. Opening the laptop. Saying hello to someone. Settling in. Suddenly the day has a rhythm.

If you are bored of making coffee for one at home, we know a place. Come in for a trial day and bring your laptop. We will bring the workday atmosphere.

We always say the space never feels quite the same from one week to the next.
Different people, different conversations, different projects on the tables — and different art on the walls too.
This bank holiday weekend is a lovely example of that, because we are part of High Peak Open Studios as Venue 3 in Whaley Bridge, showcasing work by our resident artist Vernon.
So if you have been meaning to have a look around, this is a very good weekend to pop in. You can meet Val, see the art, and get a feel for the workspace while you are here.
Come for the art, stay for a nosey at the coworking space.

A few people have said they love these little felted beach huts, so I thought I’d pop the details here again.
We are running a relaxed needle felting workshop with Violet Barrowon Saturday 6th June, 1–4pm, at Whaley Bridge Coworkers, Whaley Bridge. It’s completely beginner-friendly, no experience needed, and you’ll make your own beach hut picture to take home.
£30 per person, including all materials, tuition and refreshments, with a £15 donation going to Blythe House Hospice.
I have 6 spaces left, so if you’d like to come, please message me or WhatsApp 07355 263028 to book.
It would be a lovely gentle afternoon of making, chatting and trying something creative.
PS Violets work can be viewed this weekend during High Peak Open Arts, she will be at St John Church, Buxton
