Something to think about when you ask an artisan, craftsman or maker …….
There’s not many of us left that can truly hand on heart say they love their jobs and love the skill that they have grown over many years, some instances a life time!
We have built in stresses, money worries, life, we have to be accountants, HR, credit control etc etc…….. please don’t belittle these skills we have dedicated our life into together with all the other things we have to accommodate including a job not going to plan.
When you have a rush job that you need doing….. question why is it a rush? Because you left it too late or because it broke unexpectedly……are wanting to jump a queue?…..are you willing to pay double the price quoted to compensate the other customers that have been waiting?! If no then be wary that the other customers in the queue will always come as a priority to us not the ‘quick’ or ‘squeeze in’ jobs!
Please be sensitive and understand that not all jobs are straight forward and sometimes theres only one set of hands that can do these skilled creative jobs.
Don’t shout when your ‘squeeze in’ slot isn’t when expected we are all doing our best working long hours to reach people’s expectations.
We are not Amazon, eBay, or Tesco’s that can deliver the next day, if we rush our jobs then you wouldn’t be happy with the quality, and quality will always come top of my list to my customers
Please support the creative community and skilled labourers, AI can’t and won’t be able to do our jobs ❤️❤️❤️
