Something a little different. A touch of upcycling. Never done it before but I really enjoyed doing it and look forward to the next one that I do. I had to take it steady as it had a thin veneer. Stripped, Primed, finished with colour of choice and a light oak wood stain on the top. It doesn't look to shabby now

Last week recieved a call from a friend in need of a new garden gate, after some donuts had damaged it beyond repair. Being the first time I'd ever be making a gate I was happy to help. Made to measure using treated 4x2 for a bit extra strength and Feather Edge boards securing with rinkshank nails, a like for like replacement for the previous gate and re-using the same hardware. It was a pleasure to make and look forward to the next project 😎

Out with old and in with the new! Built my first shed. Removed the old shed and swept the area and levelled the sub-base. Made up the floor frame using tannalised 3x2 with dpc attached to help protect from moisture and finished with 22mm OSB. I then proceeded to make the wall frames at the rear and sides again using 3x2. Once the frames were done, I added some beathable waterproof membrane sheet that I had from a left over from a previous job, before cladding the walls with shiplap t&g. Added the roof joists and secured. I used 22mm OSB to the roof then used black jack to help against moisture ingress and finished with felting. It's not perfect but I'm happy with the end result. Just a few more bits of hardware and paint and it will be finished πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
