The excellent video I was using to teach me just skipped straight over that part, so I'm mostly working on other knowledge and my extensive photos from the deconstruction process.

The seat is done! Looking forward to starting on the back tomorrow, RA permitting 🤞

Step 1 is done. Tips for other newbies:
- the coil really must be used from the centre in a clockwise direction. Turn the coil over if necessary, and before you start weaving
- be careful of getting strands crossed when you get back to the front nails. They can cross on the inside of the frame, but not underneath
- pull the front rail nails outwards a bit further than you think

I've been doing a lot of research and I'm confident I'll get a good result - the client is fully aware that this will be my first attempt, and have been very kind in terms of timelines too.
