Side Table, Solid American Walnut and Figured Oak.
This elegant piece of freestanding furniture is a piece that I designed and made here at the furniture workshop at Grange Gallery.
This piece is a fine example of my passion for Japanese design and is one of many pieces of my furniture on display at Grange Gallery.

Throwback to May 2021 and a completed luxury suite of freestanding hardwood bedroom furniture, designed and made for a client.

The bespoke suite was handmade by Jason at the Cameron Furniture workshop, Isle of Purbeck using solid Maple with Walnut Inlay.

The commissioned suite included a pair of Bedside Tables, a Vanity Table and Stool, Bedroom Chair and Mirror.

Jason at the Cameron Furniture workshop hand-veneering the centre decorative piece for a bespoke kitchen Island.
This process shown involves measuring, splicing, gluing, joining, and taping to align the grain of the Macassar Ebony pre-pressing. After this process it then sits in the veneer press for 6 hours.
The snapshot shows the circular centre piece and the curved section below which will form two curved drawers. The hand-veneered Ebony will cover the cabinetry of the whole Island.
The Ebony will be finished with a luxurious high gloss finish, complimented with high black gloss handles and the centre of this feature with black glass.

Stylish contemporary furniture design for you, your coffee and your T5 Transporter!
These travel cup holders are designed and made here at the Cameron Furniture workshop on the Isle of Purbeck. They fit into a T5 Transporter van and are available in veneered Walnut with a lacquer finish.
This clever stylish design enables the holder to fit snug into the storage/coin pocket of the dashboard.
The singles are a universal fit for the driver or passenger side, they have a cup diameter 69mm. They are also available as a double cup holder for the centre dash pocket.

A commissioned chair, finished pre upholstery, this is an addition to a bespoke bedroom suite completed earlier this year for a client.
The chair is made from solid hardwood using a two tone combination of Maple and Walnut.
The design enables the two outer back uprights of the chair to blend seamlessly to form the back legs.

Latest wastepaper basket design in a two tone colour combination, shown in mid production at the Cameron Furniture workshop, after staining and lacquering the next stage will be assembly.

On the workbench, a two tone commissioned Coffee Table in solid Maple with Mahogany details, sanded and ready for lacquering.
This table forms part of suite of solid maple living room furniture completed for a client.

Jason’s career as a Furniture Designer and Maker was inspired by his Father, who was also a Furniture Maker. Many of his childhood memories are of his Father, working in his small workshop in the garden, making Rocking Horses and furniture. This naturally led Jason to follow his dream to set-up his own furniture making business. This was supported after a successful application and being awarded a start-up grant by The Princes Trust who were inspired by Jason’s talent, passion and drive.
His award-winning career, spanning 20 years has seen him haled as one of the top 50 Furniture Designer Makers in the UK. Working with private clients nationally and internationally, including Royalty and a host of national and international Interior Designers. Jason has developed a style that is unique to him, yet, enables him to adapt to the bespoke needs and requirements of his clients. Using a blend of traditional and modern methods, Jason is renowned for his engineering abilities to achieve seemingly the unachievable, especially with commissions of a complex nature.
Nearly two decades after Cameron Furniture began, Jason’s signature style remains, he has many patrons who endorse his skill and talent, by regularly commissioning bespoke pieces to add to their collection of his work. Jason is renowned for his high-quality design skills and his craftsmanship of luxury bespoke furniture that can span from Cabinets, Dining-Sets and Tables, through to Kitchens and Lighting. Jason’s commissions range from small to large projects and he works with a variety of clients and their budgets to achieve their design aspirations.
Jason has welcomed aboard his partner Esme James to Cameron Furniture, Esme is a renowned Designer and Contemporary Artist and has been designing with Jason for a number of years. Jason and Esme work together on many projects, including Interior Design for clients, this a bespoke service offered by Cameron Furniture and is available upon request.
Cameron Furniture is located in the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset in a newly constructed large Cedar Barn that Jason and Esme have designed and built together. This also includes Grange Gallery where Jason’s speculative pieces of furniture and his homeware range is displayed. The Gallery also displays Esme’s range of Contemporary Art alongside the work of many talented artists and makers. The Gallery serves freshly ground coffee from its Coffee Shop, Café Grange. This provides the perfect place to discuss with Jason and Esme your bespoke commission ideas and your design requirements for your project, or simply the opportunity just to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the Isle of Purbeck.
