What the wife asks for, the wife gets (eventually!) After being used as a desk for over 40 years it was time for a second chance. A quick sand and clean got the desk top ready to be refinished and set up as our kitchen notice board with space for everything from the shopping list and calendar to the meal plan and chalk board.

We've done it again. We've bought another house. This one has quite a bit of fire damage and needs completely gutting before any work can start on it. This time we will be creating flats rather than one home and we won't be doing all the work ourselves. Instead we will be working with people/small businesses in the community to do this project. Let's give this house a second chance.

Floor restoration. A little job that I've been putting off (who doesn't have at least one of those!) The previous owner didn't repair this properly and had filled the gaps with cement. So when I put in the new fuse cupboard I took the chance to save the loose tiles at the edge and put them to good use restoring this beautiful Art Deco flooring.

One of our best sellers - STARS. We never expected them to sell so well, so thank you to all who bought one. They can be plain, colourful, engraved with a name or a special date to remember (maybe to help out our other half). We would love to see your stars and we have lots more ready to go.
