Hi everyone
We are open tomorrow from 8.30 till 12.30.
This is so stressful doing this post.
Every day we keep getting price increases from suppliers it is becoming a harder and harder to honour quotes we have done
So when we quote we might not be able to hold the price for long
We need the war to stop and get back to normality.
Here is a email I have just received off one of our main suppliers also this one of many we keep getting.
We have tried to absorb increase but we can’t do it anymore.
Thank you for continued support.
Notification of Pricing Adjustments
Dear Customer,
Due to the ongoing instability in the Middle East, we have been informed by
EGGER that they are adjusting the surcharges that are being applied to their
products with immediate effect.
The revised surcharge levels are as follows, they include any previous
surcharges and are not in addition to them:
* EGGER Decorative Chipboard and MDF: +5.5%
* EGGER PerfectSense Lacquered Boards (MDF and Chipboard): +5.5%
* EGGER ABS, PMMA and PP Edging: +10%
* EGGER PVC Edging: +15%
* EGGER Worktops, Accessories and Laminate Bonded Boards: +5.5%
EGGER will continue to monitor market conditions and cost developments, and
they intend to adjust or remove these surcharges as soon as raw material
availability and pricing allow. We will mirror any such changes accordingly.
For further detail on the factors driving these increases, EGGER has
produced a guidance document, which can be accessed
here.
Further to this we have also been notified of the following further
increases:
* Opus Doors - 2% effective 1st May
* Cutlery Trays - 28% effective 27th April
* Decorative Panels - 7.5% effective 4th May
* Soudal - 5 - 15% effective 1st May
* Pfleiderer - 5% surcharge & 5% increase effective 1st May
* ABS Edging Tapes - 4 - 11% effective immediate to 1st May
Like EGGER and most other businesses, we are also experiencing increased
costs across several areas of our operations, including:
* Vinyl
* Energy
* Diesel
* Packaging
* Third-party distribution
* Waste disposal
Unfortunately, we are no longer able to absorb these rising costs and will
need to pass them on in the form of temporary price increase of 1.5%,
effective from May 5th. Should market conditions improve, we will ensure any
cost reductions are passed on without delay, in the same way that any
supplier surcharges will be changed as soon as we are notified of them.
We appreciate your understanding during these challenging and unpredictable
circumstances, which remain beyond our control. By continuing to work
together, we are confident in achieving the best possible outcomes for our
customers.
Our thoughts remain with those affected by ongoing global conflicts, and we
sincerely hope for a swift resolution and more stable conditions ahead.
Kind regards
