Interesting video I thought I’d share from someone in the wholesale trade.
This hasn’t just started recently either. In the last few months we’ve seen rises in prices particularly in other salad items as this time of year a big percentage comes from Spain.
Something has got to give soon as I’m sure the hike in fuel prices will have an impact as well in the near future.

Lucky for you guys I beat the postie delivering the hundreds of Valentines cards ❤️ to my door this morning so was able to get out to work ok 😮‍💨

It’s been a cold and chilly start but lovely to see a bit of Sunshine ☀️ woohoo 🙌🏽

Jacket potatoes are a firm favourite in our house – a proper, hearty meal and so versatile depending on what you fancy 😋

What’s your go-to topping?

We’re proud to use Cornish produce wherever possible because the taste and freshness really are incomparable to supermarket spuds. Our baking potatoes come from Colwith Farm Distillery
in Lanlivery (between Lostwithiel and St Austell). The Melody variety is a fantastic all-rounder – beautifully creamy with a lovely buttery flavour.

They travel straight from field to shop within hours of harvesting, covering fewer than 12 food miles. Some of these jackets are so generous they’re practically a three-course meal on their own!

Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄

I’m incredibly lucky to have the best team around me. There’s only five of us, and the amount of work, effort, commitment, blood, sweat and tears my staff put in — especially at this time of year — is truly second to none 🫶🏼.

A massive thank you to every single one of you who came in and chose to shop local this year 🥹. Without the effort you make to pop in or place an order for delivery, we simply wouldn’t be here.

You’re not just supporting a local business and family — you’re also supporting our local growers, who I think are sometimes easy to forget after the incredibly testing conditions they’ve faced this year.

Last but certainly not least, thank you to my family — especially my wife — for quite literally single-handedly taking on everything during her so-called “week off,” while still making Christmas magical and special for our kids, all so I could focus purely on work.
