Another batch of handmade chocolate boxes for the Adam Handling chocolate shop. As well as a special Cornish Elm box for the Ugly Butterfly restaurant in Newquay.
Four of the boxes are made from Cornish oak, with brown oak lids. elm trays and burl walnut bases.

For the past 12 months, we have been delighted to work with Adam Handling Restaurants

From helping with the opening of two new locations in Cornwall. Supplying handmade bespoke chocolate boxes for the stunning single variety chocolate shop in Covent Garden, and making numerous small items that you will see in and around you during your dining experiences.

It is always a pleasure to work with great people who share the ethos of quality and showcasing the best of what this country has to offer.

Oriental style sideboard with floating shelves. The back panel is hand veneered in a starburst design, it is also subtly tapered with a curved head. The base cabinetry features a custom inset chamfer, something unique to W.Spencer interiors. The doors are veneered horizontally with the grain matching from left to right. Finished in a spray applied Acrylic PU at 20% sheen

We recently completed two sets of residential gates for Calenick House. A beautiful 1700's property in the heart of Calenick village.
For years this property with its clock tower and beautiful gardens were hidden behind horrid big black gates.
Now it is revealed for all to enjoy, behind these solid Sapele gates.
Built in the style that English heritage believe would have been there originally.
The gates feature engraved mid rails and fully electric opening.

Our latest commission, delivered and setup for our clients.
A bespoke walnut coffee table. Built to showcase 12 handmade and hand finished tiles depicting each month of the year. The table also has a solid Maple drawer with brass string inlay.
Also we built the freestanding solid walnut tv and display unit. It features motion sensor lighting and solid brass detail.
The stunning fireplace was also remodelled by our good friend Paul Knight
Originally housing a modern gas fire, Paul opened up the old chimney, fitted the bespoke stonework and fitted the new wood burner.
Quite the transformation

Well that was a wet one! Not the best weather for fitting this solid Sapele menu board for Adam Handling Restaurants new location, The tartan fox. But despite the torrential rain, we got there

A stunning interior for our clients. They wanted a lounge area for their house guests. They purchased these beautiful chairs from Frato interiors and wanted furniture to match. We clad all the underfloor heating pipes in quarter sawn oak panelling with solid brass inlays to match the chair legs. We made flush fitting access points for the pipes, making sure to bookmatch the grain. The floating shelves are built using my own unique system which is completely fixing free and will never sag due to the steel reinforced face strips, again with 12mm solid brass lippings. All finished in Rubio Monocoat UK charcoal which was the perfect colour match to the existing coffee tables.

Beautiful large three door wardrobe built to blend with the clients existing bedroom furniture.
The hardest part was actually trying to not make this piece look brand new. We did this by using a pre ageing stain before laying the main colour. We also loaded the corners and edges where the old furniture naturally had darker patches of uneven staining. I also decided to go with an oiled finish from rather than a lacquer, which I personally also think helped to age the piece.

The older furniture was a mix of oak, walnut, elm and boxwood. Meaning it was a challenge to match the materials perfectly. So we decided upon quarter cut oak and burl elm. We didn’t bookmatch the veneers either as the veneer on the old furniture was random veneered. Lots and lots of veneering processes involved in this project. Which I absolutely love.

Internally we kept the oak natural to keep natural lightness inside.

A couple of display cabinets for a serious collector of vintage memorabilia and trinkets. Both units were kept minimal and sleek in order to not overshadow the collectibles inside.
All doors are handle less with push to open mechanisms. Fully dimmable lighting and fully adjustable shelving finish off the job.
