The Repair Café will be available for repairs at the Community Climate Day on Saturday 21st March.

🌍 Join us for Climate Day!

We’re really excited about our upcoming Climate Day on Saturday 21st March, 11am–3pm and everyone is welcome! 🎉

Come along for a fun afternoon of activities for all ages, including:

🏃 Physical games and challenges
🎶 Instrument making and jingle writing
🔬 Science experiments
🎨 Arts activities
🌿 Outdoor learning adventures
👶 Under 5s activities

This year our theme is connecting with local groups and initiatives 🤝 and we’re delighted to be joined by:

🔧 Repair Cafe, Dartington – bring along something that needs fixing!
🛠️ The Share Shed (joining us from 1pm)
♻️ Devon Waste Education Project

🗣️ We’ll also be hosting a programme of talks – timings will be shared next week.

🍰 There will be food, drinks and snacks available too.

Dartington Repair Café Encourages Community to Fix, Not Throw Away

Dartington, Devon – Saturday 3 January, 1–4pm — The Dartington Repair Café returns this Saturday at Dartington Village Hall, offering local residents the opportunity to repair broken household items with the help of skilled volunteers.

The event aims to reduce waste, save money, and promote practical skills by encouraging people to mend rather than replace everyday items. From small electricals to household objects, visitors are invited to bring along items in need of repair and learn more about how they work.

Run by a team of dedicated volunteers, the Repair Café provides a friendly and welcoming environment where people can share skills, exchange knowledge, and connect with others in the community.

“The Repair Café is about more than fixing things — it’s about building resilience, reducing waste, and bringing people together,” said a spokesperson for the group.

The Dartington Repair Café takes place on the first Saturday of every month, and all are welcome to attend. There is no charge for repairs, although donations to support the project are appreciated.
