I've been working on this little table for the last couple of days. I forgot to take before pictures but it was orange wood colour. Now 3 coats of satin black and gorgeous flowers. I've matt varnished the top so those flowers are protected. It will be in the window tomorrow.

We are taking a little break. A couple of days to enjoy the lovely weather. We'll be back Tuesday at 1.30pm.

Befores and afters. This Jacobean style carved buffet needed a lot of work, almost 2 weeks of sanding by hand and using a bradawl to pick the paint out of the carvings... I'm really pleased with the end result. I've used black wax on the top to try and give the oak its depth and some of its patina back. It's a beautiful piece.

We've both been very busy today working on several pieces of furniture at once; a large cabinet, a mahogany swing mirror. A mahogany set of drawers, a pine set of drawers (finished), round table, and a mahogany desk. They will all be in the shop in the next few days.
