We just wanted to let all our loyal customers know that Gartinny Nurseries will remain closed while we carry out renovations 🚧

We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause
We were hoping to welcome you back this summer, but at the moment it’s looking unlikely that we’ll be open during the summer season 🌸

Kinnections Social Group, run by Scottish Autism, is a weekly social group for autistic adults across Clackmannanshire and the surrounding area.

Meeting every Wednesday between 6pm-9pm in Alloa, the group offers a relaxed and welcoming space to connect with others and enjoy a range of activities together.

✨ Kinnections Social Group is back! ✨

Looking to connect, have fun, and meet new people in a welcoming space? Kinnections is a social group for autistic adults across the Forth Valley area, meeting every Wednesday from 6pm – 9pm.

Each week offers a mix of activities to help you unwind, socialise and build friendships, from games and baking to karaoke and ten-pin bowling. It’s a safe, supportive space to be yourself and connect with others.

What’s coming up:
🧁 21st January – Scottish-themed baking inspired by Burns Night at Inspire (7 Cooperage Way, Alloa, FK10 3LP)
🎲 28th January – Refreshments, board games & catch-ups at Inspire (7 Cooperage Way, Alloa, FK10 3LP)

Gartinny Nurseries, our vocational day service and operational garden centre based in Coalsnaughton will be closing on Friday 2nd January until summer 2026 while renovation work takes place to improve the current site.

In the interim, day services will be relocated to Elmbank in Menstrie from Monday 5th January for the people we support, but the site will not be open to the public.

🌟 Celebrating Ben at Gartinny! 🌟

We’re so proud of Ben, who attends the Gartinny Day Service two days a week and continues to brighten every room he walks into. Ben recently created a fantastic video sharing what he loves about Gartinny the friends he spends time with and the staff who support him.

His enthusiasm, honesty, and brilliant personality truly shine through.
Ben is a huge personality at Gartinny and plays a big part in our community. Not only is he a key contributor to the Scottish Autism newsletter, but he also loves writing about his adventures with Stuart, Bex, and all his peers, sharing stories that only Ben can tell.

Ben likes to keep Natalie and the staff right when it comes to big events like Halloween and Christmas, always making sure there’s a party and that everyone’s included! 🎉
He also keeps himself busy by attending the gym, the nature group, and our walking group, where he often takes the lead in making sure we capture some amazing photos along the way.

And…. here’s a little secret… this is Ben’s favourite time of year. He loves seeing the snow on the hills and never misses a chance to remind staff, “It’s going to be cold tomorrow!” ❄️
We’re incredibly lucky to have Ben as part of the Gartinny community. His creativity, humour, and warm personality make Gartinny an even better place to be. Keep shining, Ben you inspire us every day! 💙✨

Huge thank you to everyone who came along on Saturday — what a fantastic turnout! Even with the wee bit of chill in the air, the walk was full of laughs, chats, and great company. 😊💬❤️

A special shout-out to Makers Cafe, Alloa for the delicious soup that warmed us all right up afterward! 🍲✨

🎤 Rockin around the Makers tree 🎄

Throughout the month of December John will be performing a selection of Christmas songs on a Friday afternoon to get everyone into the spirit. If you are interested in coming to see him perform he will be performing between 12pm until 12:30pm and then again at 1pm until 1:30pm

🌿 Gartinny Nurseries Closed on Saturday 25th October 🌼

Please note that we will be closed to the public tomorrow (Saturday 25th October).

Our team will be back and ready to welcome you on Saturday 8th November, from 10am to 4pm, to explore our lovely range of seasonal plants and produce.

We are busy getting ready for the festive season, with a beautiful selection of handmade wreaths and woodwork crafts coming soon! Keep an eye on our page for the latest updates.
