KAGU has been assigned to complete the entire interior design and project management of a house located in our local area. Here is a look at the current design we have put together for our client for the downstairs space, from the TV/Snug space to their main lounge area and onto their kitchen area, and we are now working on the four bedrooms design, plus two bathrooms for upstairs.
Not only do we get the opportunity to work with our fantastic clients, but our clients have given us the freedom to push our design in a direction which we feel will result in a stunning finish for our clients.

With the weather so cold, grey and miserable, is there a better way to spend your Friday evening than grabbing a very large glass of wine or a pint of bitters in the warm and inviting Boys Hall pub.

Another view of the beautiful Sovereign bedroom painted in the luxurious warm green shade that is Citrine. A real favourite for KAGU.

From the very beginning of helping design this room, it was always going to be Setting Plaster as it is a warm, buff beige shade from Farrow & Ball] perfect for a space like this. With the addition of yellow pigment for softness, Setting plaster worked beautiful to create the calm, relaxing atmosphere in the Banks Room.

BOYS HALL
I love this image of one of the cosy corners I have helped to create .hall, and as the nights have suddenly closed in around us, I'm very much looking forward to heading back to Boys Hall to enjoy a glass of red wine next to one of there log fires.
More to come…
We were up at 5am this morning on the hunt for more beautiful items to help dress the rooms we are currently undertaking.

Boys Hall - Bespoke furniture.
So it is not always easy to find the exact size piece of furniture that you may require for an interior project. So, in this case, KAGU decided to design and make a bespoke piece for this lounge area. Here is a reclaimed piece of oak that we found upon the grounds of .Hall Then we sourced this set of art deco bath feet, and finally, we salvaged this piece of green marble for the top.

Boys Hall, phase 2:
Here is a look at one of the rooms we have already completed in what is phase two at Boys Hall. The main lounge is one of six rooms downstairs that KAGU has been working on with the owner Kristie. I am so glad we decided to paint the walls and ceiling the same colour.
Not only can you now eat at Boys Hall, but you will soon be able to sit in the other rooms downstairs and enjoy the surroundings of this iconic building within Ashford. I also know if you manage to catch Kristie, the owner of Boys Hall, whilst you are sitting within one of these rooms, I am sure she would love to take the opportunity to talk to you about the rich history of Boys Hall and their future plans going forward.

Located in Tenterden in Kent, KAGU Interiors is a design led boutique stocking items which have been sourced from all over the globe, from English skincare to Indian chopping boards. Having originally opened the shop to showcase his own hand-crafted range of furniture, I now work with a number of brands and designers. My carefully curated collection includes ceramics, soft furnishings and lanterns in a range of earthy tones.
"Since opening KAGU, I have found a wealth of suppliers who have kindly let me showcase their items within my shop. I love working alongside other inspirational makers and curating the collection in an exciting way for customers."
Since opening, KAGU has grown month on month and even within the first month I received my first bespoke commission, which I have to say took me by surprise as I started my bespoke furniture as a bit of a hobby. But since opening I have on average been making two pieces a month and already have five pieces commissioned in the new year for clients; but what is more exciting is that I have a backlog of ideas that I am looking forward to creating for the shop in 2018!
Each piece of furniture I make is unique and I rarely revisit the same idea twice. Having said that, if you have seen something of mine that you like but it has now sold I would be happy to re-make it for you, but no two pieces will ever be exactly the same due to the materials that I use.
If you are interested in an individual bespoke item for your house or business then please do pop into KAGU and have a chat with me.
