Now that it's cooler I happy to pick up the paintbrush once again. I'm finishing a sideboard that I started last year...yes, that's right, last year 🙈

The repainting of this French dresser base is complete. Believe me, it was quite a challenge getting the paint on in this heat! It's now in Craig and Rose's Payne's Grey and looking very smart, I think.

I rarely repaint my furniture but in my opinion I felt it was a must on this occasion. While it's obviously a waste of money, I feel ok about it as the Craig and Rose paint was reduced to £8! Plus, I didn't pay for the A.S. I'm a lucky girl 😉

One method to re stick veneer. I used glue but it was difficult to apply without making a mess! I resorted to using varnish for the job and it's looking good!

Mirror complete! It's been fully stripped and cleaned, and paint washed using Rustoleums 'Grounded'. The glass has been fully secured with batons of wood and nails. Cms 110x70. Collection from Swanley Village BR87NB or delivery available x

This fabulous large sideboard is now complete and I'm loving this colour! A real earthy green, and its name 'grounded' suits it perfectly 💚

The prep on this piece was relatively short compared to many others, which, I can say is a great relief!

No one really appreciates badly applied paint, least of all me. However, I am, at times, a little grateful as it can make my job easier, as is the case here with this pine mirror.
