Craig Knowles - Artist Blacksmith Site specific sculptural, functional, interior and exterior metalwork I am an Artist Blacksmith, designer/maker ‘with a hands on’ approach.

Craig Knowles Artist Blacksmith designs and creates hand made exciting & original contemporary metalwork. He has worked from his studio in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear for the past sixteen years and his portfolio ranges from interior furniture, gates and railings to large public sculpture. I predominantly work with steel and use many traditional and new technologies to achieve a design. I have also u

sed other materials within my works, stainless steel, glass, plastics, wood and stone. Nearly all works and processes are carried out at my studio in Sunderland and my assistants and myself carry out most installations. I have been involved with many community projects of various scales and situations, sometimes the results are direct physical representations that come from workshops, and sometimes it is one phrase or a little story that will influence the finished works.
