Help the wonderful SVP save the Little Acorns, Mighty Oaks projects. They urgently need donations to help raise funds for the fantastic community initiatives like the Creative Shed. As little as £2 would really help. 😀🙏
We've been blown away by the support for Little Acorns, Mighty Oaks. We've now raised over £10,600 for people and nature in Stroud. Thank you to everyone who has donated.
But we need more. And we need to be clear:
If we don't meet our target, we forfeit the £8,000 generously pledged by Stroud District Council.
Without this funding, not only will we not be able to reach out to new generations in our district; we may also lose forever our Minibeasties sessions and our Creative Shed project.
For people like Dave, Lawrence, Elliot and Charlie, Creative Shed has changed their lives. Watching them make connections, form friendships, grow in confidence and develop new skills has been humbling, and their pride in their work is truly inspiring.
Tuesday sessions at Creative Shed in Cashes Green will simply end if we don't secure this funding through Spacehive and Stroud District Council.
That will affect dozens of people - participants, their friends and family, their support workers and their future employers. It will mean we no longer have wildlife homes made in Stroud for sale in our eco shop. And it will signal the end of one of our most impactful projects; one of which we are incredibly proud.
We know times are hard. We have 3,800 followers on Facebook, so if every one of our followers donated just £2 - less than the cost of a portion of chips at many places - we would smash our target and guarantee our Creative Shed crew many more sessions of fun, companionship and connecting with nature.
What's more, we would be able to reach out and connect more people with nature. Adults and children alike.
