Another look at the home office partition... Customer chose Osmo's deep blue stain keeping a hint of the wood grain visible and I recommended twin wall poly carbonate to allow light in, but not the heat out. Hopefully it hits a sweet spot between privacy and keeping the space feeling open...

The term "shaker" gets kicked around a lot in cabinet making, but for this commission a client asked me to design something more authentically shaker than just frame and panel doors. Overexcited by the prospect of a research project I forked out for just about every book on the real Shaker movement I could find, and together, we drew inspiration from genuine 19th-century pieces.

The result is this small drinks cabinet, built from solid southern yellow pine with panels veneered in-house. Obviously the irony isn't lost on me: The Shakers would have never approved of a drinks cabinet....
