We explored our relationship to compost, collectively turned a compost pile, and applied the biodynamic compost preparations.

Legbar chicks are fresh and feathery on the farm 🐣☀️

They are being snuggled by a Brahma hen, as Legbar mothers are not the most maternal of birds.

New hatchlings on the farm! 🐣
These are some lovely West of England geese. They are a heritage breed on the red endangered list being raised by our new tenants, The Hatch.

We're due some more hatchlings very soon, keep an eye out for feathery updates! 🙏

🌿What are we fundraising for?
Oakbrook Community Farm is fundraising to build a durable and sustainable shelter at Haven Field, a 2.2-acre space perfect for workshops, educational tours, community events, children's parties, and recreational activities.

The shelter will enhance accessibility and broaden community engagement with the natural environment, offering an inclusive space for groups at affordable rates.

Designed to last for least 10 years, the shelter embodies our commitment to sustainability and fostering connections to the land, ensuring Haven Field becomes an invaluable resource for both educational and leisure pursuits.

We have set up a crowdfunding page via spacehive.com - this is a hosting page for all donations and helps us keep track of how close we are to the goal. Hopefully, with everyone’s help to share and donate, we can reach it!
