Play Services team Diane and Erin would like to thank all children and families who visited our Play in the Park sessions during the 2026 Summer holidays. As always, it has been a real joy to watch such positive interactions and playfulness from all ages! The sun really did shine through for us this year, which was an added bonus.
We would also like to express a very warm thank you to our Supply Play Workers and volunteers who took time out of their own holidays to work alongside us. Their commitment and enthusiasm made it possible for our small team of two to deliver 12 urban and rural sessions across the Stirling Council area. We would like to extend an additional thank you to our fellow colleagues and friends from the Parent and Family Support Team Stirling who offered a helping hand on days where necessary staff cover was required. We are so grateful to all of you!
Over these sessions we were joined by an estimated total of 1,036 children and 735 adults who all enjoyed a variety of play activities and experiences. Our feedback forms that were completed by visitors on the day highlighted the bubbles, den making, planting, bug hunting, stone art, outdoor sports and painting as their favourites! For the second year in a row, we were joined by the Stirling Camanachd at Bridge of Allan Haws Park. Families expressed enjoyment of trying a new sport and were sign posted to the Shinty club to continue on the fun.
It has been our honour to share the summer with you, and we wish you all a fantastic first day back at school today. Diane and Erin look forward to taking on your feedback and we will see you again next year for our 2027 Easter and Summer Play in the Park programmes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
