Lower House Barn has been lovingly converted to a high standard to create an enticing combination of original character features with modern facilities to offer welcoming, well equipped accommodation. The Hayloft, on the first floor, the Stable and the Bullpen on the ground floor, all have comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms, the latter having features which make it suitable for wheelchair use

rs. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge area giving the opportunity for 8 people to stay in the Barn if required. The ground floor living accommodation is open plan and patio doors lead out from the lounge area to the walled private patio area with garden furniture and BBQ. There is a tennis court available and also a table tennis table. The Barn is well situated for exploring the scenic Herefordshire countryside including the Wye and Golden Valleys, Offa's Dyke, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The beautiful Cathedral City of Hereford and the quaint, internationally renowned town of Hay-on-Wye, the 'town of books' and famous for its Literary Festival, are both approximately 10 miles away. The picturesque black and white villages of Weobley, Eardisley, Pembridge and Eardisland are also a short drive away. We are lucky to have a pub within a 5 minute walk of the property as well as many others serving good food only a short drive away. Nearby also is Oakchurch, a locally owned Farm Shop with restaurant and garden centre, which is definitely worth a visit!

It’s been a beautiful day here at Lower House Barn. The orchards are in blossom and the sheep are welcoming our new arrivals, Bubble and Squeak. A great time to take a break in the lovely Herefordshire countryside!

The Barn is unexpectedly available, due to a cancellation, for the duration of Hay Festival this year. It runs from 21st - 31st May. Hay-on-Wye is an approximate 20 minute drive from us. Do have a look on our website for more information or get in touch direct if you’re interested.

It's been a busy week in the Barn with filming taking place of a video for Alzheimer's Research followed by a lovely family moving in to enjoy a relaxing half term break in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. As well as taking in the fresh air, they also had fun filled visits to the nearby Small Breeds Farm Park and the Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo near Ross-on-Wye. We still have availability for those with half term next week.
