Did you know we also sharpen dog grooming scissors.
I use the same technique i would use to sharpen hair dressing scissors, system and the 4000 grit Japanese wetstone to bring the dullest of blades back to life.

Did you know Dog hair is highly abrasive and dulls the sharpest of blades. Luckily, these blades will go back to my client as if they're straight off the shelf.

Its never a DULL day in the office 😁

I Took an urgent call from a client who had dropped their favourite hairdressing scissors, thinking they had ruined them I quickly got to work using the 4000 grit Japanese wetstone to remove the ultra fine and Severe chips that had formed I the blades.

I use a Japanese wetstone to stop the blades from overheating and also to stop the edge from creating a burr.

Hairdressing scissors need to be sharpened this way as they can't be honed using a leather wheel as this will remove the super sharp edge, which is needed to get a crisp cut.

Hi Everyone

Apologies its been forever and day that i have posted on this page. Life has been very busy and like always the sharpening side of this has had to be put on the side line, although i have still be operating just haven't posted.

I just wanted to give a little update regarding pricing. Along with everything, the cost of running things has took an unfortunate spiral the wrong way.

I will.be now charging £12 per pair of hairdressing scissors. I still think this is a fair price and still 1 of the cheapest around.
