Our Story
Hi, I’m Daniel.
When I was a child, my favourite thing to do in the world was play with the cardboard box that came with the toy. Equipped with my pencils, scissors and glue, I’d start cutting, sticking and drawing up cool things for my action man to sit in. Never a happier time than when they’d actually look good and work!
As a young man discovering my style, I found that furniture from big companies had minimal personality and wouldn’t last as long as they promised. Put together by machine with no love or care, doing it myself was the only option... That’s why Cooperwood Bespoke Wood Furniture was created. It’s the answer to having ideas for pieces but having no way of them materialising. I work from a small workshop in Wigan, Lancashire and every piece is hand crafted to the highest quality. Whether large or small I aim to improve your home.
Now, I’m a father to Millen and the best way for me to pass something onto him is to teach him how to make things himself and learn all the skills his father has along the years.
