This is the sawmill where I buy most of the timbers I use to make my furniture pieces. They have a huge amount of wood, both kiln and air dried plus a sort of a shop (with the typical mess you’d expect in a sawmill).
But very often you find just the thing.
I haven’t been there a single time where I didn’t find forgotten planks of exquisiteness.
I’m starting a new commission for a client that met me about ten years ago during Weird and Wonderful Wood festival.
It took a while (!), but it’s happening.
Next weekend will be the perfect time to give m.j. Elliot a visit and hear the wood calling me.
Have a look yourself, a few dusty friendly chaps will be there.
