He’s trained through the cold, the wind, the rain… and now race day is nearly here. 🏃‍♂️

We’re so proud of Loren Ellis, our Technical Engineer at Global, who will be running the London Marathon 2026 in a few weeks on 26th April.

After starting his training in December, Loren has put in a fantastic effort over the last few months, including completing the Southwold Half Marathon, all while raising money for the amazing NSPCC.

He’s already raised an incredible amount for a charity doing such important work supporting children and young people. 💚

✨ Festive fun and fantastic people at Global! ✨

Last Friday was a brilliant day as our team came together in the afternoon to celebrate, connect and look ahead to the future! 🎉

The Global team embraced Christmas Jumper Day, raising funds for Save the Children.🎅 We then joined together for a company-wide communications presentation, reflecting on our achievements this year and sharing our exciting plans for the future.

A huge highlight was recognising our amazing long-service employees. Their dedication and contributions continue to shape Global, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they bring to the business. 💙

We rounded off the afternoon with a lively Christmas quiz, complete with a mix of prizes and plenty of laughs… all before heading out for our Christmas Works Party in the evening to celebrate another amazing year together. 👏

🎉 DAWSON HOUSE OFFICIALLY OPEN! 🎉

After a number of months of hard work during which time we have completely modernised and reconfigured the site, including the construction of a new building, our new facility in Thetford is now fully operational.

To mark the occasion, we invited our founder, Darryl Dawson, to conduct the opening ceremony and cut the ribbon on the site that has been named in his honour. ⭐

Dawson House is already proving to be a great investment, bringing all our storage requirements in-house, giving us much greater control, flexibility and improving response times. The newly recruited team have quickly built a great working relationship with colleagues at our main distribution site in Reydon, Suffolk and are very much part of Team Global! 🤝

We would be delighted to welcome customers to the site, which will also house some additional showroom facilities in the near future.

We are looking for a new permanent member to join our Customer Service Team.

Working with a small team of 6 to ensure the day to day running of the Customer Service team is successful. Responsible for all aspects of Sales & Customer Service to include supporting and advising customers during the order to fulfilment process and any subsequent post-delivery queries, upselling and offering alternatives on all prospective orders.

Customers' expectations are the heart of our business and key to ensuring our business continues to grow whilst delivering exceptional service every day.

MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure all inbound calls are answered promptly
• Dealing with customer orders and queries via the telephone/email ensuring first call/query resolution at every given opportunity
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as Account Managers, Purchasing Team and Warehouse Team for stock and customer order progress updates.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
No formal educational requirements or qualifications required.

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Good administrative and organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently to agreed timescales.
- Good IT skills with knowledge of Excel and Outlook an advantage. Articulate, confident and able to work under pressure.
- Excellent telephone manner able to communicate effectively with customers and overcome any challenges.
- Previous customer service experience not essential but preferable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent work ethic.
