Sadly, we have reluctantly decided that it is just too wet to anything useful this morning, as we risk damaging soil, plants and volunteers by working in the rain. Replacement session will be confirmed as soon as we can.

It’s June!! Summer is here! 🥳 We will be back in Southwick Square Gardens this coming Saturday, 6th June, to continue our efforts to maintain the gardens. We could really do with more help, so if you are free on Saturday morning do please come and join us. No tools or experience required (but welcome if available!). 10a.m - 12 noon.

The next volunteer gardening session is this coming Saturday 2nd May 10a.m to 12 p.m. Please do come and join us, as there is a lot to do and very few regular helpers. Tools and instructions provided if needed, and we are a friendly and welcoming group.

NEXT VOLUNTEER SESSION
SATURDAY 7 MARCH
One more week and we’ll be brushing down our tools hoping we can actually get out into Southwick Square Gardens this month. January and February sessions were completely washed out so we are really hoping that Saturday 7 March will be dry! The roses need pruning, the shrubs need cutting back, the weeds always need tackling, and then we will stand back and admire the flowers 😊. Please do come and join us, a friendly welcome is guaranteed. 10 a.m to 12 noon the first Saturday of every month.

A reminder: No session this Saturday due to cold weather

This Saturday is the first of the month and we would normally be beavering away happily in the Garden.
However, frost is forecast and therefore all good gardeners will be staying off the soil to avoid causing damage! We will be staying in the warm, making plans, and dreaming of Spring!
Happy New Year from the Southwick Square Garden Volunteers. We hope to see you on Saturday 7 February - new volunteers are always very welcome.
