Tots and Teapots

Tots and Teapots Tots is a baby and toddler group, meeting Thursdays at 10-11.30am at the Burgess Road Library Welcome to Tots. You can pay by contactless or cash if preferred.

We're a toddler group run by Christ Church Southampton for parents and carers with babies and preschoolers. We meet on Thursday mornings during term-time between 10:00 and 11:30am at the Burgess Road Library. When you arrive you will be welcomed at the registration desk, where there is space to leave prams. There is a cost of £1 per family to cover refreshments and craft materials. If you drive to

the group, there is free two hour parking on many of the surrounding roads behind the library. Inside the hall we have plenty of toys, a craft table and a snack/drink time for adults and little ones. Then after a quick tidy up we'll gather together for the children to do some singing and have a short Bible story.

Hello,

As mentioned last week, Tots is now finished for the Easter break. But a few families are planning on heading to the park tomorrow, and everyone is welcome to come and join! We’ll be heading to the main play park in Southampton Common from 10am. The weather should hopefully be dry! It’d be lovely to see lots of you there if you can make it.

We also forgot to mention last week that our monthly Dad’s Lego Breakfast is back this Saturday. It’s for all dads and male carers to come along with their children, happening from 9:30-11:00am in Burgess Road Library. There’ll be plenty of tea, coffee, bacon to enjoy and plenty of Lego to play with (and some Duplo too).

If we don’t see you tomorrow, have a happy Easter, and see you back at Tots on 28th April.

Happy New Year!

Obviously the need to protect everyone remains of paramount concern, so we would ask that you take an LFT before coming to the group. Please do not attend if any members of your home have Covid, or if you yourself have any symptoms; similarly please do not bring children with coughs and colds. We recognise this may be frustrating, but we so want to keep the group open, available and safe to all!

We do not require masks to be worn, although please do if you feel safer and happier. But we do ask that you sanitise on arrival. Please be aware that we will try to keep the library well ventilated, so extra jumpers may be a good idea.

Tots and Teapots is back this Thursday!
We’re so excited to open up Burgess Road Library again for our usual toddler group, Thursdays 10:00 - 11:30 during term time, open to any parents and carers and their pre-school little ones.

It’ll be back to our usual format; with plenty of toys for free play, a craft activity available, refreshments, and finishing up with singing and a Bible story.

In order to be COVID aware, and particularly sensitive to those more vulnerable coming, we’ll be taking the following precautions:
* Extra opportunity to clean toys
* Mask wearing encouraged in entrance area
* Please stay home if you or a member of your household has tested positive for COVID
