The garden office / garden party room 🥂🎉🍰 This huge tall hut 14ft x 7.5ft intended for the Rudloe arms hotel is now residing in a beautiful location within the Meon valley, where it’s to be used as a garden office by day and party room by night.
The large desk which cleverly folds away and houses two monitors safely away within itself, makes plenty of space for all kinds of shenanigans “in this case watching euros football” and access to the all important wine fridge 🍷🥂 “Thanks to J.R Parker transport for the safe transportation of this one “🙏

Finally a break in the weather 🌤️ Allowed us to roll out “the Beast” that’s been blocking up the workshop for the past couple of weeks as we just couldn’t risk fitting the roof without a clear day. With literally one inch to spare exiting the workshop and
all went like clockwork, especially with the skillful help of Jason Parker and his crane truck 🙏

Want a hut ready to go for spring or build your own?

Originally intended to be part of a small flock of huts within the grounds of a prestigious Hotel near (Bath)
It was decided that numbers had been reached thus rendering this partly built hut surplus to requirements.
These photographs show what the hut can look like once completed, although, at this stage the design remains flexible enough for someone to introduce their own ideas into the build.
Well Insulated and with a wood burning stove, double Georgian window, stable door, and double bunkbed this was supplied primed inside and out ready for finishing on site by the hotels decorator.
It’s unlikely that we would be building another hut like this one, as we are busy with restoring historic huts. That said, we would be happy to finnish this hut to the same high and exacting standards were it to join the flock at the Hotel or simply as it is a complete ready to go kit for someone to complete.
The savings would be substantial.

Ploughmans Wagon / Living Van

John Fowler and Co
(Leeds) Ltd

Hitting the ground running this year as we’ve already retrieved this old relic from what was thought to be its final resting place beside a field just north of Wi******er.
Now stripped down to salvage all the metalwork the rebuild has begun.
Looks like this was originally built 1878 judging by the dates found stamped on some of the castings whilst cleaning back the flakes of paint and rust.
To be continued………

It’s been a while! This relic was taken into the workshop to be renovated last spring. This hut was purchased new from Watson & Haig of Andover circa 1910 and still resides on the very same farm 110 plus years later. 🇬🇧

Our last build of 2022. A Multifunctional Space. The objective here was to build a hut that had all the charm and proportions of a restored original but with the space for 1-2 persons to work comfortably day to day from laptops, that along with a guest bedroom.
We’re all really happy with the result!
Made using a mixture of reclaimed materials and locally grown timber, heated using a tiny but mighty Hobbit SE multi fuel stove now (ECODesign Reg) insulated throughout with surface mounted electrics this hut has the option to be totally off grid. The bed was purposely built raised not just to enjoy the spectacular views but for all the storage space beneath.
We even utilised more of that useful space inside the bed headboard and under the little sink all this within a hut 7ft x 14ft.

Slow going in this restoration, averaging 38 degrees most days in the workshop 😛 Now delivered and soon to be welcoming guests an over night stay whilst hiking, cycling or just enjoying the South Downs way at Holden Farm Campsite Cheriton.
This hut has been on the farm over 150 years made by Taskers and Co Andover circa 1860.

First hut of the year delivered safely to a beautiful and secluded spot on the South Downs.
Probably our youngest hut restoration to date, circa 1924 made by H&C Farris of Coombe Bissett, Salisbury this unusually wide hut spent most of its life in Gloucestershire as a shepherds hut then used for general farm storage.
The new owner loved the huts originality and wanted to keep it this way so with some painstakingly slow and gentle work we managed to bring the original wall cladding back to life along with the floor.
Keeping it simple with a fold away bed and minimal lighting the huts new life as a massage treatment room as well as warm dry shelter to enjoy the “wilds” of the South Downs with
