Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. The contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, building codes, and health and safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
- Ensure effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Manage site resources efficiently, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Report on project performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant certifications in construction management, health and safety, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
