OH. MY. GOSH. 😍😍 *NEW ITEM!!* Is this the best thing we’ve ever made!?? I think this could have just levelled up on our favourite ever piece and work!! Take a look through the pictures of this STUNNING rare art deco sideboard/ cocktail cabinet that we recently refinished for a Commission client. Just WOW. 🙌🏼 If we could have kept it we would!! You just don’t get items like this everyday. With its pull out cocktail section that comes outward towards you with the mechanics of the opening doors. A masterclass in the skill and craftsmanship of vintage cabinet makers who originally made these beautiful antique items, a stand out piece of furniture and something totally unique. We’ve fully lined the cocktail pull-out section in a luxurious art deco VELVET fabric. To add to the mastery of this section we wanted to go extra and the velvet gives that as well as depth and shimmers in the light. We’ve reworked the whole front of the cabinet to reveal the stunning woodgrain that was hidden away any years of old varnish. Adding gold pinstripes to frame every section, glossy black paint to help modernise but compliment the shape adding depth, original ornate hardware refinished in glossy gold to match, gold vinyls as backdrops to the inner sections, shiny new glass and mirrors for protection and practicality, layers of hard wearing varnish to protect for durability and then buffed to perfection! The whole thing is just a feast for the eyes!! What’s your favourite part?

We have also used velvet to embellish this piece, making it extra extravagant with a luxury feel. The light shimmers off of the velvet and gives a really deep, rich tone to the warm colours in the fabric. We chose a gorgeous vintage floral to match the items character. This piece is so beautiful with so much unique vintage charm mixed already mixed with a modernised design - it makes for a stand out piece of furniture for your home! It would make a fabulous little drinks cabinet or sideboard/ console - whatever suits your home needs as it has plenty of storage with an open top section and 3 drawers below. This cabinet has been fully restored and revitalised from head to toe with love and passion, highlighting key features such as this stunning vintage floral velvet fabric, that wraps both sides and over the top, which compliments the warmth and character of the piece. THROWBACK✖️The commission that we’re currently working on (see stories for updates on that!) is reminding us of this gorgeous piece we did a few years ago 😍. So here’s a little throwback to this stunning ‘Beautility’ sideboard with cocktail section, reimagined by us, to create this one of a kind statement item. It sold out so quickly! You just don’t get items like this everyday. Vintage ‘Beautility’ items in general are always super cool to get your hands on as the original design and build make for stunning good quality items - especially after a little refinishing magic ✨ They always have funky cocktail sections and quirky legs, plus are built so well to last a lifetime. None of this chipboard rubbish.

COMMISSION✖️ Here we have another gorgeous made to order item, for our lovely repeat client Mike. We loved creating this specifically to his needs but with creative freedom too. This is Mike’s second item from us. He brought the large art deco sideboard we did last year and he loved its uniqueness so much that he wanted a similar item for his bedroom. Something that was practical for his clothes but was still a beautiful antique item with character and just a bit stand out from the usual boring stuff on the market! Something with art deco charm but combining that modern twist. So we spent time and sourced the right style of drawers for his requirements. Did a design consultation, drew up mock designs and a mood board inspired by our previous works. Then we came up with this beauty! We of course wanted to show off the stunning wood grain, so we only put luxurious fabric on the sides for a touch of art deco glam! And keeping the original handles to add some vintage charm. We love it, he loves it …what do you think!? 😍👌🏼✨

COMMISSION✖️ Can you believe it’s drinks cabinet number 3 in this specific crane print! …But this time we’re bringing it to you in a bold blue colour way - and what you see there is not wallpaper that’s a velvet embellishment! So it feels as good as it looks, has more depth, and the light shimmers off of it. Check the inside too 😍 Scroll for more close up pics, see all the details and tell us what you think!
The story behind this piece: Our lovely customer Joanne loved this crane design from another item of ours, but wanted it in blue to match her ‘ocean’ inspired kitchen decor. Luckily we managed to get it made in this colour way and found a large cabinet suitable to her requirements, and we set to making her a bespoke drinks cabinet. Complete with gold leafed interior, velvet fabric matched shelves, additional gold glass racks, plenty of storage, and new sensor lighting. The outside embellished head to toe in this luxurious velvet depicting the crane design. The body painted gold. The antique hardware for ornate detailing. All work completed by hand with a fine eye to detail. Needless to say large alot of work went into this! Joanne was super happy with it and so were we! ☺️😍👌🏼

COMMISSION✖️ Sharing the latest commission - this refinished antique pine sideboard. Scroll for more pics on the details - plus a sneaky pic of the before 😱 (It was a huge transformation on this one!!.. but more to come on that later). Storytime: This sideboard belongs to a friend’s lovely old pub, an antique gem that had been part of the pubs furniture for many years. They wanted it refreshed alongside having the pubs interiors updated. They wanted to keep the piece because of its history and connection, but give it a makeover to bring it up to date and make it feel more fancy! The sideboard was used as the restaurants serving desk so a full refresh was very needed as it was tired, worn and in desperate need of some TLC! We fixed the broken doors and drawers. Filled in holes and dents. Stripped the entire piece back to bare wood, removing years of pub grime and old stains. Thoroughly cleaned it. Then got to refinishing it. We went for this gorgeous dark, rich navy blue with gold accents to match the new interiors. Kept the top pine in a light stain to feel more modern and for durability. Covered the entire piece in hard wearing varnish for practicality. Added these stunning new gold brass cup handles with gorgeous details, again hard wearing for repeated use. Waxed, treated and hand delivered! Loved working on this for these guys ❤️ and being a part of the pubs transformation. This piece shows what a simple makeover can do, even if it’s just a block colour. It’s SO different to the before. We love it and so did the pub! Full transformation vid coming soon. WHY BUY BORING STUFF!? ✖️ Wow… The inside of this cabinet is a show stopper ~ That fabric! 😍 That spinning disco mirror ball section! 🪩 The richness and depth of colours!👌🏼 The mix of all the different finishes 🖌️ The character of vintage ❤️‍🩹 You just won’t find something like this on the usual market. If you’re going to spend your hard earned pennies on some furniture then why not make it a fun, stunning, statement piece!? A piece no one else will have, that you’ll treasure forever.
