Most people get excited when parcels arrive.

We get excited when 26 pallets of cardboard arrive😂

This morning’s delivery will become around 2,300 boxes, and it’s one of three cardboard deliveries we have each year.

We started making our own boxes during the pandemic when packaging supplies were becoming difficult to get hold of. These days, it gives us much more control over what we use, the sizes we make, and helps us keep waste to a minimum.

It’s not the most glamorous part of running Storage4Crafts, but every unit we send out starts its journey with a lot of cardboard, a lot of tape, and probably someone asking, “Where on earth are we going to put all this?”

Still, I’d rather have too much cardboard than not enough!

Thank you to everyone who joined me on HobbyMaker yesterday with the lovely Cheralene and Rosie. As always, there were plenty of laughs, lots of crafty chat, and far too many things added to wish lists! 😊

A huge thank you as well for all the messages, photos and lovely comments sent in during the shows. Seeing our units in their forever homes, filled with crafty treasures and projects in progress, is honestly one of my favourite parts of the job. ❤️

Now I’m back home attempting to be productive, although Eric seems to have a different plan. While I’m working through emails and orders, he’s claimed a shelf in my craft table and is demonstrating what I can only assume is the correct way to survive this heatwave. 🐱☀️

I hope you’re all managing to stay cool and keeping your crafting supplies (and yourselves!) out of the sunshine. We’ll be in touch soon with delivery details for all your orders.

Until then, I think Eric and I have very different opinions on what today’s to-do list should look like 😆

What a lovely way to spend a Friday morning. 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Sewing Street today to help celebrate John Scott’s birthday. 🎂 Thank you for all your lovely messages during the show and, of course, for your orders. We’ll be working through everything as it comes through and will be in touch with delivery details as soon as possible.

One of the unexpected highlights of the day came after I left the studio when I bumped into the lovely . We haven’t seen each other in ages, so it was such a treat to have a proper catch-up and share a few giggles.

Now it’s time to swap craft storage and TV studios for family time this weekend before I’m back with Charelene and Rosie on HobbyMaker on Monday. Looking forward to seeing you all again then!

Can we all agree that these crafty goodies from Craig Hunkydory show have the worst sense of timing? 😂

I’ve been looking forward to these arriving, and of course they turn up just as I’m about to head out for a busy show weekend.

Now they’re sitting in my craft room looking all pretty and full of possibilities while I’m not back until Monday night. 😭💜

The papers need stroking, the scoreboard needs testing, the book stand needs a permanent home… and instead I’m leaving them all behind.

On the plus side, Monday evening’s plans have pretty much made themselves. ☕✂️📦

Anyone else immediately starts mentally planning projects the second happy mail arrives?

Or is that just me? 😆

Off to Gemporia today to get everything ready for our Sewing Street show tomorrow and HobbyMaker show on Monday.

Then I had a sudden moment of panic…

“It’s Christmas on Hobbymaker!” 🎄😳

So instead of being organised and sensible, I’ve spent the morning digging through the wardrobe trying to find the thinnest Christmas jumper I own because apparently festive TV and a warm summer’s day have decided to arrive at the same time.

If I’m glowing on screen, it’s not Christmas magic, it’s probably overheating. 😂☀️🎅
