Our vintage tripod floor lamp recently found a new owner and has arrived in France to enjoy new stylish purpose in life - lighting up this stunning daybed. 🇫🇷

It looks right and home, bringing warmth and character to its new surroundings. We love seeing where our unique pieces end up and how they become part of someone else's story. This one has certainly landed in a very special spot!

A sought-after true icon of British mid-century design is back in our showroom and turning heads. And we don’t have only one beautiful example, we have two!

The legendary Parker Knoll Model N30 recliner chair - launched in 1966 and reputedly the brand’s most expensive chair of all time - is the perfect blend of luxury, craftsmanship and statement style.

These two handsome chairs have been fully refurbished and re-upholstered by us in period-correct lime yellow velvet.

Bold, elegant and unmistakably vintage.

This stunning Potenza chair is pure Italian design theatre.

Originally created for the lobbies and reception spaces of luxury hotels, these high-back, throne-like statement pieces were designed to impress from every angle - sculptural, indulgent and glamorous.

We have re-upholstered this particular piece in an irresistibly supersoft cotton velvet, and it feels every bit as luxurious as it looks. The richly layered floral print has the dreamy quality of an Impressionist painting.

Oh my goodness! We have something very special for you! Six sculptural beauties with serious Italian pedigree. 🇮🇹

We’ve just acquired a striking set of six vintage dining chairs by renowned designer Giancarlo Vegni for Arper - a masterclass in late 20th century Italian design.

Elegant tubular frames, beautifully balanced proportions and that unmistakable blend of modernism and comfort that Italian makers do so well.

Vintage Italian seating of this quality is becoming increasingly difficult to source. P40 chairs designed for the original Fasem production can fetch £2,000 each.

These are licensed productions that appeared through the Arper Italian design brand in the later 1980s, and you can acquire all six of these for less than one original Fasem chair. They are immaculate in a stunning Cognac Italian leather.

And we have paired them here with another Mid-Century design classic - a Le Corbusier style LC10 glass and chromed steel dining table.

Timeless. Functional. Collectable. Ready for their next stylish interior.

We love the challenge of upholstery commissions - working with a client to revitalise a cherished old piece of furniture that still has plenty of life and style.

This Edwardian chaise is a recent commission. A classic design and beautifully constructed - all it needed was new upholstery to make it sing once again. Re-upholstered in a quality russet velvet it looks every inch a timeless beauty.

Bold, glamorous and feminine - mid-century jewellery has an enduring appeal. ✨

At Richard & Company we also source authentic vintage costume jewellery. Janey Lawley has been a collector for more than 13 years and pieces are now coming in to our showroom.

From the glitz and glamour of big pearls and glittering rhinestones of the 1950s (think Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn) to the bohemian bangles of the 1970s and statement pieces from the ‘80s - vintage jewellery has a magic of its own.

Every piece has lived a life before finding its next home - and that’s, of course, part of the appeal.
