What if quoting was this easy?

I'm a designer and a system builder, and I'll use whatever tools the job needs.
I ran my own cabinetry workshop for about ten years. The part that wore me down was never the making. It was everything around it: pricing up a job properly could take a whole evening, and the cut lists, ordering and scheduling never sat together in one place.
I always wanted software that worked the way a small shop actually does, and could never find it. So in the end I built it myself.app lets you set your rates and times once, then put a custom quote together in minutes rather than hours. After that it handles the cut list, the schedule and the invoice, all in the same place.
The cabinetry knowledge is mine. I'm not a trained developer, so I used AI tools for the parts I couldn't do on my own, and a year ago I wouldn't have believed that was possible.

Aaah, getting a great review like this from a customer never gets old. It takes a lot of work to get to this stage of an order and the furniture has now been out of our hands for a while during the delivery process.

There is mixture of good feelings: a sense of relief that it arrived without getting damaged and nothing has gone wrong! Pride in the fact that our work is being used in somebody’s home and they are happy with it. Gratitude for the customers and people I work with and that make this possible. Satisfaction in the design, manufacturing and business systems that made it happen. And finally, hope that this is another step towards the vision of the business and life that I am trying to build for my family and community.

All this to say, it’s a good day when it happens and here’s to many more. If you want to work together, let’s make it happen!

The assembly instructions for our latest project that we designed specifically for flat pack assembly. Our customer lives in a NYC apartment and we had to think about how we could deliver this via fights of stairs or the elevator. At 2.4m long, fully assembled in a palletised crate as is our usual mo wasn’t an option, but I’m really happy with how this came out. In fact it would be great to do more like this in the future.
