🪚 Staircase Rescue

I was recently asked to look at a very old staircase that had suffered badly from woodworm and years of water damage. Many thought it was beyond saving.

Two main structural timbers were carefully removed and rebuilt, with several treads and risers remade by hand. The result? A fully restored, strengthened staircase — and a delighted client who saved thousands by avoiding a full replacement.

If you’ve been told something needs ripping out, it might still be worth saving.

I have recently taken on a spacious newly converted workshop in Stibb Cross, N Devon.

From a blank canvas, it now has a separate bench room & nearly fully equipped machine room.

It’s light and airy, and access in simply great.
