We were recently commissioned by a client to design and build a decorative box as a birthday gift for their partner.

As it was for a birthday, my client thought it would be an interesting concept to play on the idea of a parcel that had been wrapped and packaged, so we created a design that embraces the randomness and geometric lines created by duct tape-wrapped parcels.

Each intricate inlaid strip has over 400 individually cut pieces (around 5mm wide) of African padauk and English maple to create these stunning complex patterns. The strips flow seamlessly around the sides of the box and are inlaid and sanded flush, leaving a silky-smooth surface. To maintain the highest level of quality I’ve used fine box brass hinges, which also compliments the stained black poplar perfectly.

We were asked by a client to build and modernise a classic writing table designed by Alberto Issel in 1930.

The desk features double beads wrapping around the whole desk, two dovetail drawers and bowed legs. It is made from cherry as it has a deep and warm colour.

This simplistic modern bench is the perfect piece to greet you at the front door. Just the right height to sit at while putting on your shoes and with a convenient drawer to store keys, dog leads, etc.

The bench features tapered floating legs with mushroom plugs, a generous seating area, hand-cut dovetailed drawer with a matching turned drawer pull!

This bench is a stylish and classy hall bench, perfect to use for putting on shoes!

This rectangular coffee table was commissioned by a client in London.

It is constructed from 450-year-old burr oak from Sutherland in Scotland and has African black ebony inlay banding around all the edges. The base is solid ash with a hand-carved textured surface that has been ebonised black.

We were commissioned to design and build a L-shaped desk for a home office.

This walnut desk spans 5 metres long. One side consists of a storage unit with olive ash continuous grain sliding doors with inlaid handles, and the desk area has hidden cable holes, a shallow drawer and a modern geometric leg! We were commissioned by a client in Kent to make a high-quality dog gate to replace their plastic one and blend in better with their decor.

The gate is made to the highest standards and is constructed with mortise and tenon joints which will ensure it lasts a lifetime. The gate features a chamfered arched top, decorative bannisters, polished brass hinges and is made from beautiful British oak.

Our gate is free-standing and hinged so it will open and close to most door and staircase widths and doesn’t need to be mounted or secured into position. Being free-standing and hinged also means it’s quick to remove and store away when not needed, by simply folding it up like a book.

A bespoke coffee table made for a client in London.

This circular table consists of 1-inch thick birch plywood with sawn constructional elm veneers, with a segmented lipping wrapping around the table. The top is held up by two large segmented rings and 60 spindles.

We are a family-run, fine furniture design and making studio. Founded by brothers Sean and Dan in 2020 we produce high-quality, bespoke pieces of furniture for private clients and businesses around the UK.

Sean qualified from Rycotewood Furniture School in Oxford with a distinction in Furniture Design and Making. Dan joined Sean as a woodworking apprentice the year after Sean qualified and they have been working together in their fully equipped workshop based in Sevenoaks, Kent.
