An Alton bespoke rebuild, like a phoenix rising from the ashes! The ridge had completely rotted through, many of the frames needed repairing, filling, shaping, hardening, painting etc. Every piece of glass needed removing and 40+ years of stain removing from over enthusiastic painting. The plinths had pushed out, bowing quite significantly so needed realignment and reinforcing with metal brackets. A really enjoyable project that will give the customer many more years from this vintage beauty.

From design to proof. Some glass stops I have 3d printed ready for the refurbishment of two 9x17 Alton Cedar greenhouses. Need almost 100 of these. Designed to be used in conjunction with 3mm/16mm pan head screws and 4mm glass, with the fixing points offset from the originals (not fixing into same screw holes).

It’s not often you can say “what a lovely pair” in public now, but what a lovely pair of Vitavia 11500 Jupiter 8x14 greenhouses. Installed over three days this week they were certainly capturing the interest of the neighbours.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 2025 will see a slightly different direction for us. I can now offer a complete repair and renovation service to Alton Amateur cedar greenhouse. A complete renovation coming in around 50-60% of a new replacement model.
