This Georgian chest on chest had been painted green, as you can see.
The customer wanted me to strip off the old paint and fully restore it.
After the strip, the condition of some of the cabinetwork needed replacing and repair to make it whole again.
Then, it was onto preparing the wood surfaces for stain, grain filler, and a polish seal. Along with colour to match and blend and polish and wax to finish the transformation. The last photo is of the bed that the customer wanted to match the chests, too.

Today's work was on a Cherry wood Harp.
As you can see, there was damage on the base.
After preparing the area, I filled the hole with a hard filler and sanded with medium and fine sandpaper. Then, adding coloured pigments in with a clear polish to match and blend. Then, I applied two topcoats of lacquer to finish. The customer was very happy with the restoration.

Beech rocking chair.
Restoration included, gluing the top.rail.
Repairing the cane in the top left corner where there was several pieces missing.
Polishwork.
To strip, prepare, sand, stain dark brown, polish and wax.

Teak G-plan dining table.
After 40 years of fading from the sun and watermarks galore, restoration was certainly needed.
Stages of stripping, sanding, stain and Osmo oil.
A tidy of the legs.

The restoration of these Pine Ducal tables.
They had plenty of wear and dents, scratches and scuff marks.
All within it's own history.
They needed a clean, preparation and polish to freshen and tidy. An M.O.T.

Oak bookcase.
Damaged by excessive pot plant watering.
As you can see it eventually broke through the veneer. After taking off what was left of the veneer, I needed to fill and prepare.
To fit and glue down the new veneer was the only way to restore the top.
Then I sanded the top, stain, polish and wax was applied.
Cleaned up the rest of the cabinet along with a new back the restoration was completed.

Oak card table.
Really bad veneer condition on the top.
After preparation, I cut and trim several veneer patches to fill the missing areas.
Hand sanded carefully to the clear result of the new wood. To fill any gaps and holes with hard wax where necessary. To wash back the polish work, stain and colour the patches to blend and disguise. To polish and wax to finish .
