I was very near to finishing a most enjoyable job when the lockdown came into force. Even though I had not completed the job my lovely client paid me in full.

The summerhouse is a good thing, but I don’t think I’d want to build another one. Two thousand five hundred pounds worth of materials and a lot of heavy labour. Still, Sandra and the cats really like it !

I’ve been making wine tables in solid character and pippy English oak. They are Labrador proof and the tops tilt for easy storage. Every home should have one - we have three!

My workshop has been like a sauna this summer. No worries, early mornings and evenings are very comfortable.
