Chinoiserie Birds stencil in all it's beauty. Taking inspiration from wallpaper and fabrics of the late 18th century, chinoiserie patterns stem from the European interpretation of East Asian artistic traditions. Here Annie Sloan has used Old Ochre and Old White Chalk Paint as a base. The stencil starts with a base of Olive Chalk Paint. The birds have been painted with Aubusson Blue and Firle Chalk Paint. Whilst the branches have touches of Primer Red and Old White Chalk Paint.
We are delighted to say we have these stencils in stock and look forward to seeing what our customers can do with them!

Dreamy ombre bathroom inspiration on this rainy Saturday. What a wall! It is made with two Annie Sloan Chalk Paint colours - Aubusson Blue and Provence. If you are wanting to learn how to recreate this wall then there is a step by step guide now on Annie's facebook or instagram account. Such a simple process and a showstopping result!

One of our customers has been busy painting her doors in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Under the watchful eye of her two gorgeous pooches. They were so enthralled they made sure they left their mark on her hard work too 😄 luckily Annie Sloan Chalk Paint can just be sanded back and repainted... Although we quite like the idea of keeping a little paw print from in the doorway 😝

A vital tool for those completing Traditional Upholstery furniture. A webbing strainer is used to create the necessary tension needed in the jute or cotton herringbone webbing. It is held in place by putting a loop through the slot in the middle of the strainer and locking it in place using the wooden dowel pin. This will hold the webbing still and taut, making it far easier for you to stretch the webbing across the seat frame and tack it in to place whilst keeping the tension. It is very important to have this tightness to create a long lasting seat!

The Magnetic Tack Hammer - light weight hammer that is used to secure fabric to the frames of furniture with tacks or small nails. The hammer has two faces, one being magnetic to aid the placement of tacks. The tacks are placed on the magnetised split end of the hammer, and hit directly into the furniture. This secures your tack in place then twizzle the hammer to the flat end and one tap on tack to fully secure it in place. Saving you any sore thumbs from missed attempts at hitting those tacks!
